Brief Description
The Academy of Automotive Service Technology prepares students for employment in the automotive industry. The program includes instruction in repair of these automotive systems; electrical/electronics, brakes, suspension & steering, engine performance, and computer diagnostics. This program is NATEF accredited and the instructor is “Master” certified by ASE. Upon completion of each course listed below, students are encouraged to take the ASE Certification available for that course. You can learn more about an industry certification at the ASE website.

Automotive Service Technology students who meet Santa Fe College requirements and complete the Automotive Technology Program in high school could earn up to one year in the post-secondary program and should see the instructor or guidance for more details.

Skills USA – Vocational Industrial Clubs of America, Inc. membership is available to all students enrolled in the Automotive or Welding Technology Programs. Skills USA provides leadership training experiences and reinforces specific vocational skills. To Learn more, check out the VICA website.
