Welcome To DCHS Career and Technical Website!

Dixie County Career and Technical Education programs are an integral part of the Dixie County High School curriculum. The curriculum of these programs is strategically structured to prepare the students for future careers or to refine their skills at the post-secondary level.

The Dixie Academy of Health Careers at Dixie County High School is structured to instill fundamental health concepts among the academy students. Health Care students complete a two or three year program. When successfully completed, students will have received proper health care experience to join the work force or further their health education at the post-secondary level.

The Dixie Academy of Business Technology at Dixie County High School teaches students basic digital design concepts. Business Technology students complete a three year program—excluding the Computing for Colleges and Careers prerequisite course. Business Technology students will have the proper knowledge to start out in beginning positions in various sectors of digital design, or further refine their knowledge at the college level.

The Dixie Academy of Welding Technology at Dixie County High School prepares students to enter the workforce in a welding career. Upon successful completion of this program, welding technology students will have an industry certification that will help them find employment immediately after graduation.

The Academy of Automotive Service Technology at Dixie County High School will provide the students with core concepts needed for the automotive industry. Automotive Technology students acquire first-hand work-shop experience that gives them adequate enough experience to find a job upon graduation.

The Agriculture Technology Career and Technical Education Program at Dixie County High School will provide the students with the basic knowledge needed to strive in agricultural related businesses. The students receive adequate experience by working on a real field and use real agricultural supplies. With this hands on experience, students will have no trouble finding employment in a related field.
