Welding Information

This program offers a broad foundation of knowledge and skills to prepare for employment in the welding industry. The content includes, but is not limited to, planning, management, technical and product skills, underlying principles of technology, labor issues, community issues and health, safety, and environmental issues. Students are taught to gas weld, arc weld, TIG Weld, and pipe weld. All students are given the opportunity to become American Welding Society Certified Welders.

The classes offered are:

  • PMT0070--Welder Assistant 1
  • PMT0071--Welder Assistant 2
  • PMT0072--Welder, SMAW 1
  • PMT0073--Welder, SMAW 2
  • PMT0074--Welder

Advanced Welding Courses include:

  • PMT0075--Advanced Welder 1
  • PMT0076--Advanced Welder 2

To register for classes students must provide a State Photo ID, Social Security Card or Birth Certificate, and Proof of Residency (i.e. Utility Bill).

Tuition for Adult Welding is $2.22 per hour. Please see the Adult Welding Calendar to determine actual costs at time of enrollment.
